(Rachael) “is technically reassuring. I was able to feel safe in trying new things when there's someone who knows exactly what the f*ck she's talking about on the other side of the booth. I don't think I'll ever do big studio vocal tracking without a coach moving forward as it really was a game changer for me.”
- Standish of STANDISH & CO.
“Rachael is a talented and experienced vocal performer who gigs regularly. She’s passionate about both singing and stage presence, but perhaps more importantly she’s passionate about helping others learn to perform- especially women. She’s super approachable and down to earth. I’d definitely recommend you give her a call even for a single session to just assess where you’re at and get an idea of what to do next.”
-Matt Galloway, Drummer/Musician
“Full disclosure- I am friends with Rachael but I wouldn't say this for just anyone and she didn't ask me to write anything.
As an audio engineer that's worked with her in the booth, Rachael is one of the most articulate vocalists I've ever met. She has a high level knowledge of vocal techniques, the anatomy associated with them, and how to gain awareness and harness those vocal controls.
Vocals are one of the hardest things to mix, largely due to their variability but she is incredibly of consistent because of the level of technique she uses.
Rachael is not just a singer, but a vocal technician and because she knows how to talk about it so clearly, I'm sure she could do a great job to help anyone improve their vocals.
If you're on the fence, I would check her out.”
-Aiden Carey, Sound Engineer
“As a producer, it's important to be able to get the right vocal performance out of the artist. It means capturing the emotion, the intention, the magic of the song. But I do believe that even as a producer that knows music theory, engineering, etc, sometimes it's difficult to accurately describe how you want a vocal performance to change
@rockvoxstudio (fronts the band @ivesivesivesives) is probably the most professionally trained vocalist I know, and helped out connecting my feedback as a producer to physical changes to the body that leads to a better performance. We've made such a great team, and in an industry where vocals are so important and where good records last a lifetime, hiring a vocal coach in recording is a worthwhile investment.
Also IVES, you're such a powerhouse and I'm so excited to see all the vocal things you're doing. Thankful for your kindness, your leadership, and your drive. You're gonna get where you need to go, I know it.”
